Last Saturday, I did something off the wall.
I attended The Big Foot Conference, in Ocala, Florida.
I realize that many people will laugh out loud when they hear talk about Big Foot, but not me. I keep my mind open to the broader possibilities, including the so-called weird and whacky.
Shortly after getting to the conference, I was greeted by people who recognized me. They made eye contact, walked up and with big smiles began telling me how much my books and courses have benefited them over the years.
One such man was Chris, who drove to the conference from South Carolina with his wife and son.
Chris and I spoke for a few minutes, during which time he told me that he’s been following Big Foot for a long time. I mentioned to him that I’m much more of a newbie. I started looking into this a few months ago, and I’m not convinced one way or the other.
“That’s the way to be about it,” said Chris. “Take in the information and decide for yourself.”
After sitting for a spell to watch various speakers, I took a break to check out the booths. Lots of books, tons of t-shirts, a good supply of Damascus blades, plenty of caps as well as a safe-space for medical merryjane, which I’m not into.
Anywho, at one of the author’s tables, I spotted a Sasquatch statue. It was striking a walking pose, with its hands close to its knees annd its head turned sideways and tilted toward the left shoulder.
I began to position my feet to imitate the Big Foot’s posture. Instantly, I could feel a magnetic connection.
Then I adjusted my hands and head. A friend took a photo for me. I examined it and made an adjustment. The posture still wasn’t good enough for me, so I made another adjustment.
Closer, but still not what I wanted.
After one more fix, I nailed it. I felt electricity coursing through my veins. My feet felt as though I could spring off the ground, that I could run with huge strides. And leave deep footprints.
I didn’t expect this energetic experience to happen. I thought I was merely clowning around for a cool photo. But perhaps there’s more to the story.
I’m continuing to tweak this Big Foot Posture, to relax into it and make it even more powerful. There’s truly something there, and this is from a mere representation of a Big Foot. Imagine if I had pictures and video footage, or that I saw the “real deal.” Perhaps it would be even better.
Standing in various animal and “nature” postures does a body good. It has a healing effect from the inside-out and from the ground-up.
You’ll know this is true when you get your body aligned properly, the way I teach in my Power Postures program.
In stillness you discover the greatness within.
In stillness you begin to tap the secrets of the universe.
In stillness you uncover the vastness.
