A couple days ago I drove down to Loxahatchee, Florida, to get 12 bags of a special compost I use on the 11 various species of bamboo I am growing.

And while there I bought four more bamboo trees. All four are known as Elegant bamboo, from Chiangmai, Thailand. Now I am growing 12 species.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon composting and fertilizing almost all of my bamboo. Today I will add the mulch.

You may wonder why I love bamboo so much. One reason is the beauty the bestow as the move with the wind. Another reason is the significance they play in my study of martial arts.
