‘Tis a shame, me thinks, as the benefits of using the sauna go way beyond sweating off a few pounds. You benefit in dozens of ways, health wise. And these benefits also positively affect you physically, psychologically and spiritually.
Frank “Fools Crow,” a Lakota medicine man, bristled when he heard the modern-day term “sweat lodge,” when referring to the Native American practice. Fools Crow referred to it as a “ceremonial lodge.”
